We are on-call 7 days a week. Appointment times are available Monday through Friday 8am-6pm. Weekend jobs can be arranged if it’s a pressing matter.
Yes. Our technicians are fully qualified in both Windows PCs (Desktops & laptops) and all Apple (Mac’s and MacBooks).
Yes. We carry common spare parts and accessories. Our aim is to get the job completed quickly and as efficiently as possible. By having all the tools and parts available onsite, we can get the job done on the first visit. Our technician carries a new desktop and laptop computer with them, all ready to plug in and use. These computers are designed and selected with the needs of most users in mind. If you need a custom build computer, this is our specialty. A quote can be compiled given on the spot whilst consulting your needs.
We speak in a friendly and fluent manner and shy away from overly-technical language and take the time to explain what they are doing This helps our customers feel comfortable and at ease. Our technicians will answer any questions you may have during your appointment and may even write out some basic notes, so you don’t have to remember everything.
We are primarily a mobile service, and are happy to visit your home or office and unbox everything for you and set up all the equipment. The computer would then be connected to your NBN, printer, and any other devices you require.
Setting up new TV’s and smart phones are also our services.
Whether it be a hardware issue or a software problem, we can fix it for you. We can assist over the phone, and if need be, visit you and fix your computer on-site.
It may be as simple as having a lot of applications and programs running. They might not even appear to be running, sometimes they are in the background. If you reboot and it’s still slow, it might be time to call Hills Computer Solutions for a clean-up and computer check.
Have you checked the power cord is plugged in and turned on at the powerpoint? Is there a power board with a circuit breaker? Check all power outlets.
There are many reasons why your computer may freeze or stop working. If it still frozen within a few minutes, turn the computer off at the button or the power point. If it still has issues, it might be time for a clean-up.
Is the monitor asleep? Move the mouse, to wake it up. Make sure the cables are secure. Check if there is a light on the monitor.
You can remove the monitor cable to see if the pins are bent or broken. If it all seems ok, connect the cable again.
Turn off the printer, if the paper is visible, you can remove it. Paper maybe stuck behind the trays and the printer. You may have to open the printer door and look where the toner sits. Once the paper is removed, turn the printer back on.
A computer virus is software that can cause malicious damage to your computer, files and network. To help prevent viruses or malware you could benefit from antivirus software.
Restoring your computer from a backup could fix the issue, however, the virus or malware may have been lying dormant in the backup. If your computer is networked with other computers, it’s best to remove it from the network before the virus can spread to other computers.
It is highly recommended to have an Anti-Virus program running on your computer. The best ones protect against Viruses, Malware, and have an optional VPN built-in.

From time to time, email providers can change their email settings or upgrade their email systems, causing issues for customers. Other times, it could be an automatic software update on your computer which has caused the problem. The email settings in your email software have to be checked and reset, if need be.
Yes. We can organise one-on-one tutoring, or small groups, normally in a one-hour session. Our tutoring is tailor made to your requirements. The most helpful thing you can do is jot down a series of questions, which we can guide you through and ensure that you understand it and are comfortable doing it yourself.
